COME IN

Come In. A horror short film by Jennifer Lynn Warren This film was written and shot at the top of the Covid Pandemic with a crew of one and a budget of zero. It serves as the filmmakers personal analogy of fear, misinformation, and tokens we believe will keep us safe in times of danger. We never really know what we could be passing on to someone else or the consequences our beliefs can have. Cast: Catie Faye Smith Steve Fite Jason Galindo Colorist: Jon Rocke Music composed by: Bruce Bray Special guest appearance by Chris Stanley as Cosplay Chris In order to keep the actors safe, the director acted as the entire production crew. The budget was zero... minus any crafty the actors were able to scrounge up from the kitchen.

The Stronger by August Strindberg, Short Film

Being locked at home during Covid-19 with no crew to help me, I wanted to see how August Stringberg's The Stronger, which was published in 1912, would hold up on film. Some words were changed in an effort to shoot the film at zero cost, such as the Tulip slippers now being changed to kittens to reflect items I already owned. To stay in quarantine, the other "actress" was played by one of my mannequin heads and wigs with a sweater stuffed with a pillow. It's no where near a perfect film. I had some corrupt audio issues which you can here in one of the takes and no one behind the camera to warn me a light was reflecting off a surface, but all things considered, I've seen first time film makers do a lot worse with a crew, so I am satisfied with how it has turned out. Music is Waltz of the Flowers by Tchaikovsky, manipulated for emotional effect.
